Forest Re-Leaf Program<\/h2>\n

Since its inception through the State Legislature in 1990, the New Mexico Forest Re-Leaf Program has awarded more than $500,000 to support tree planting projects in cities, towns, villages, communities, and schools across New Mexico.<\/p>\n

The Re-Leaf Program has funded the planting of more than 18,000 trees through 190 projects in communities and schools across the state.<\/p>\n

Help Re-Leaf New Mexico by planting trees in your community or at your school!<\/h3>\n

Annual applications are solicited in April and submittals are due in August.\u00a0 If successful, your community will enter into a contract with EMNRD – Forestry Division and be ready to plant trees the following spring. Eligible applicants include schools, municipalities, or local non-profit organizations.\u00a0Trees must be planted on public land.<\/p>\n

Please note: we are not currently accepting applications as of February, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n
