Allowable uses include:\n<ul>\n<li>Reforestation<\/li>\n<li>Wind protection<\/li>\n<li>Urban and community forestry<\/li>\n<li>Rangeland restoration<\/li>\n<li>Forest restoration<\/li>\n<li>Erosion control<\/li>\n<li>Streambank or floodplain restoration<\/li>\n<li>Nursery up-pot<\/li>\n<li>Cultural or traditional use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A valid email address is required to complete your order and receive status updates.<\/li>\n<li>You must also specify the primary purpose of the planting, along with the zip code and approximate elevation of the planting site.<\/li>\n<li>After submitting payment online, <strong>you must click \u201cFinalize Payment\u201d<\/strong> on the third\u2011party credit card receipt page to complete your order. <strong>If this step is skipped, your seedling order will not be recorded in our inventory systems, and you will not receive seedlings.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emnrd.nm.gov\/sfd\/fire-prevention-programs\/protecting-your-home-from-wildfire\/\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Additional Ordering and Payment Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>We no longer accept paper order forms. Please use our online ordering form or visit your local Forestry Division <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emnrd.nm.gov\/sfd\/contact-us\/find-a-district-office\/\">district office<\/a> for assistance with ordering. for assistance with ordering.<\/li>\n<li>An order minimum applies:\n<ul>\n<li>For fall distribution, seedlings grown in 10-cubic inch containers must be ordered in lots of 49 seedlings per species. (i.e. One lot = 49 species).<\/li>\n<li>Spring distribution is limited to orders we receive through our Order Request Form that are larger than six lots (multiple species lots may be selected).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ordering Fees Apply\n<ul>\n<li>$5 handling fee per order<\/li>\n<li>$50 per lot shipping fee when you select delivery at checkout<\/li>\n<li>$95\/lot of 49 seedlings in small 10 cubic- inch containers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Secure your seedlings with an order request. Beginning fall 2026, the Forestry Division will accept order requests:\n<ul>\n<li>12 months in advance for fall distribution (i.e. submit your order request in fall 2026 to plant in fall 2027)<\/li>\n<li>12-18 months in advance for spring distribution (i.e. submit your order request by fall or winter 2026 to plant in spring 2028)<\/li>\n<li>Order requests made 12 months in advance do not require payment at the time of submission. Payment may be made starting July 1 prior to distribution season.<\/li>\n<li>Same year ordering will continue to be available for fall distribution and may carry a higher price per seedling to reflect additional costs to the Forestry Division. Payment must accompany same-year orders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Credit card purchasses must be completed online.<\/li>\n<li>Checks must be made out to New Mexico Forestry Division.
