Rio Grande Nature Center State Park
Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is located on the Rio Grande flyway, the park offers excellent birdwatching opportunities throughout the year.
There are indoor and outdoor wildlife viewing areas overlooking ponds, a native plant garden, and a pollinator garden. Visitors can also access the city-managed trails to the Rio Grande and Bosque. The Visitor Center offers informative displays and a unique Nature Shop.
The Rio Grande Nature Center welcomes visits by K-12 or adult school, scouting, religious, and other groups on a self-guided or guided basis. All groups wishing to visit the park must register in advance by filling out the appropriate form linked below.

Travel Tips:
- The park is day-use only with no camping
- Leashed pets are allowed in the parking area and on the adjacent city trails only
