Federal Excess Property Program (FEPP)
The Federal Excess Personal Property
The Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) program allows the Forestry Division to obtain USDA Forest Service-owned property on loan for the purpose of building local fire department capacity for wildland and rural fire response. Most of the property originally belonged to the Department of Defense (DoD). Once acquired by the USDA Forest Service, the property is loaned to the Forestry Division. The Forestry Division may then place the wildland fire equipment with local fire departments to improve their response capacity.
Contact your local Forestry Division District below for additional information regarding the FEPP program.
