Sustainable Education for Advanced Buildings (SEAB) – Energy Conservation Code Training for Professionals
The New Mexico Regulations and Licensing Department, Construction Industries Division recently updated the New Mexico Residential and Commercial building codes, and the stage is set for another change to the energy conservation code.

Future of the Commercial Energy Conservation Code August 28 and September 1, 2023 |
The 2018 New Mexico Energy Conservation Code (14.7.6 NMAC and 14.7.9 NMAC) is currently the minimum statewide energy code. The New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, in partnership with Doña Ana Community College, Northern New Mexico College, San Juan College, and Santa Fe Community College, is offering FREE continuing education and training opportunities for construction industry professionals.
Trainings will cover aspects of both the residential and commercial energy conservation codes and associated codes and standards in both live and/or online formats. Trainings will target the knowledge needs of both design/build industry professionals as well as code officials performing plan reviews and inspections. Professionals can attend trainings to fulfill CEU or PDH requirements.
The table below lists courses in this curriculum offered by each of the colleges. Courses with links and dates are enrolling for Winter-Spring 2023. See the course-specific link for more information and to register. Information about Fall 2023 courses will be available Summer 2023.
