Technical Assistance for Landowners and Communities
Technical Assistance
The Forestry Division provides technical assistance to New Mexico landowners in all 33 counties. Technical assistance helps landowners to improve forest and watershed health by developing resource management plans, offering insect and disease identification, facilitating forest health project funding, and distributing low-cost seedlings.
Private forest landowners in New Mexico interested in addressing wildfire hazards, improving land health, including riparian forest or bosque, creating better wildlife habitat, or learning more about the forest industry can reach out to their local Forestry Division district office for more information about the services provided.
The Resources for Private Forest Landowners Guide contains resources for technical and financial assistance for forest landowners, including resources for forest health, forest thinning, and more. Contact your local Forestry Division district office listed below for additional information.
