New Mexico Forest Re-Leaf Program
Forest Re-Leaf Program
Since its inception through the State Legislature in 1990, the New Mexico Forest Re‑Leaf Program has awarded more than $500,000 to support tree‑planting projects in cities, towns, villages, communities, and schools across New Mexico.
To date, the Re‑Leaf Program has funded the planting of more than 18,000 trees through 190 projects statewide—helping communities restore canopy, improve forest and watershed health, and create healthier outdoor spaces.
Help Re-Leaf New Mexico!
Your donation directly supports grants and tree purchases for New Mexico communities. Re‑Leaf promotes the importance of planting trees for soil, energy, and water conservation, enhancing the state’s beauty, and protecting and improving environmental quality.
The New Mexico Forest Re‑Leaf Program is solely dependent on financial contributions from partners and donors. Every contribution—large or small—helps communities across the state plant trees and build a more resilient future.
