CHARGED WITH THESE STRATEGIC PRIORITIES:

• Ensure responsible mine reclamation by restoring lands back to beneficial use
• Develop proactive mining and mine reclamation initiatives to ensure reclamation and safeguarding of mine sites
• Protect the public from physical and environmental hazards of abandoned mines
• Provide annual reporting information for New Mexico from operators on mineral production, production value, employment, payroll, revenue, and production rank related to other states
