SUMMARY OF WORK
The Cooper Shaft Backfill project was completed was completed over a two-day period (March 19th – March 20th, 2025) and consisted of backfilling a shaft located immediately adjacent to a county road and in the front yard of the property owner. Approximately 150 cubic yards of fill and 72 yards of topsoil were used to fill the feature and regrade the surface in preparation as a seed bed for revegetation. Seeding and mulching of the disturbed area was completed after recontouring occurred on March 20th, 2025. Overall, the project was successful, and the landowner was extremely pleased with our efforts safeguarding the hazard that was associated with the abandoned mine located on his property.
Demobilization shall be conducted in such a manner to ensure that the Contractor leaves all project areas in as good or better condition than before disturbance.
