Senior Advisor to the Secretary, Benjamin “Ben” Bajema

Benjamin “Ben” Bajema has served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) since June 2024. Prior to this role, Ben worked as an Associate at the Energy Futures Initiative Foundation in Washington, D.C.,        where he focused on advancing technologies and policies for deep decarbonization. He holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management and Analytics from American University’s Kogod School of Business and a B.A. from Willamette University.
